So much to report!
After a busy summer, we've been getting back to crafting this fall! It's time to report in!
First report: We finished our Sunflower Squares Afghan!
Nemo and Mittens love to sleep on it already.
We have the pattern for this project up for sale in our Etsy store now, too.

Project updates!
Well, here are the current updates on our projects!
We finished the Alchemy brown-pearl necklace, and you can see how it turned out:

We were very happy with it, and I hope our client is too!
Second, we are making good project on our Sunflower Granny Squares afghan. We have finished all the squares and have organized them all into the full blanket. (I know, I should have remember to take a picture!) Now we are working on stitching all the squares together. More progress photos to come, as I think the blanket will be done very soon!

New Projects!
We have two new projects underway!
The first is a blanket that we saw pictures of and saw Etsy Alchemy requests for, that was similar to this one:
The first is a blanket that we saw pictures of and saw Etsy Alchemy requests for, that was similar to this one:
Because it was so hard to find a pattern for what we are calling the "Sunflower" square, after much researching we had to make up our own pattern for it. It will probably end up for sale in our Etsy shop, once the blanket is done.
We used 21 colors in 168 squares, with each color represented in each layer 8 times, and no color patterns repeated. Here are some progress pictures:

You can also check out the project status on our Ravelry site.
Alchemy Project!
Our second project is from an Etsy Alchemy request. Our client had a string of freshwater pearls from the Philippines that she wanted made into a necklace similar to the St. Lucia. Here are the beads we got for her:

And here is the progress picture of the wire-and-bead crochet necklace we made for her! It is almost finished, as you can see.

Feature-Mini 48: Cigar Box Beads
Our next feature artist:
Marilyn creates beautiful and funky beadweaving and jewelry in her shop, Cigar Box Beads. Perhaps her ideas seem a bit eclectic because she can find inspiration in everything--so much so that she has to keep mountains of scraps of paper where she has sketched down her ideas!
Her advice: Don't be afraid to climb out your glass box!

Feature-Mini 47: Deabus Amor
Our next feature artist:
"Deabus Amor" represents the Goddess of Love in Latin, and Dea clearly loves her work! Her eclectic pieces are inspired by techniques from other mediums (e.g. wax-resist and woodcarving), and she experiments with applying them to polymer clay.
Dea reminds us that we spend so many hours of our lives working, we may as well do something we love!
